My love for coaching began in my early 20’s. I was a competitive cheerleader for 10+ years and then coached for several more years.
After getting married and having two babies, my weight climbed and started to compromise my health. It was when I hit 300lbs that I knew it was time to take control of my health. Losing 100lbs throughout my own journey to achieve better health has instilled in me the desire to help others feel empowered to take control of their own health and happiness.
In 2016 I found a love for sport again and started doing triathlons..sprint first, then Olympic distance, and in 2021 I did my first 70.3 Ironman triathlon with coach Gary. After losing a lot of weight, and most of my strength, I started training with Coach Gary, and fell in love w/ crossfit, strength training, and Olympic lifting. After 3 years of mentorship under coach Gary, and 5+ years of self-guided learning and studying, I obtained my certification as a nutrition coach through Precision Nutrition and my CF L1 certification.
As wife, a mom of two, and a full time registered nurse, I know how challenging it can be to prioritize your own mental and physical health while you’re juggling a million balls; but I also know that it is do-able, and you are deserving of good health and happiness! I can relate to all the struggles of taking back control of your life, because I have personally endured those hurdles and setbacks..struggling to finding a balance, the guilt that comes along with prioritizing yourself, injuries, anxiety and depression throwing me off track at different stages of life, and working through deeply rooted emotional issues related to years and years of disordered eating and an unhealthy relationship with food and exercise.
